All of the Hollywood goofballs and activists and extremists seem to gravitate even further left the lower they are in that LAConic funnel of vice and socialism.

we gord-sat last night so that his parents could go to the Caps game. I was not feeling well, so most of it fell to xshub and xsbaby and Gord is teething so....
I do not intend to be laconic this evening. We are going to be having dinner and ringing in the new year with a group of MDs, friends of Paula’s from med school at U Penn. Political conservatives, so it should be very interesting. There is a Trumpkin tendency at least from one of the women docs. It should be mutually educational, and i am really looking forward to it.

My SIL, the one who lost her husband, is in the hospital with DKA. Her insulin pump failed. Ended up in the ICU.

She was released within 24 hours and went to a New Year’s Eve party. We went to the same party after midnight. She looked great and we had fun.
Diabetic Keto Acidosis. The pump broke and she was not getting insulin. Once they fixed it, she was fine.
I’m glad she was okay, and hope they fixed the problem.
Glad you enjoyed the party-everyone on this part of the road got a free treat because the noisy snowbirds staying in that cabin had some of the most kickass fireworks I’ve seen outside of a professional display-I wonder where they got those...
It had rained earlier in the evening, so there was no danger of the woods getting set on fire-most everyone was outside watching-I was on the deck, and could see that several neighbors were out, too. We all yelled thank you for the fireworks and happy new year to the snowbirds when they ran out of stuff.

It is 45, cloudy and there has been mist/light rain since before 7am-I cut my hike short because parts of the trail were just puddles of muddy water-and it is predicted to be rainy and cold until tomorrow...
