Now they are all on my PC which has suffered a soft or hard crash and can't lift the tower any more to get it somewhere to rescue those files.
I do have an older GEDCOM but I had added a lot more and need to rescue them. The computer people I trusted and were close left. If it is still possible, I would like to buy a device that will slave that hd to my present computer.

I've never done a dna test. I'm no particular fan of ancestry but did do a lot of research there. I got proficient in getting the most out of their search engine. Then they revamped the whole site, and I had too much difficulty finding anything, including the Gary Boyd Roberts books. He has a couple videos on youtube.
