Just a little oddity. Last week, the visiting teams won all four NFL playoff games; this week, the home teams won all four.

I would like to respond in a rational manner, but I can't. I'm too upset about the Steelers losing.

All of the four road teams were favored last week. Not a big surprise they all won, maybe except Pittsburg. Seattle got lucky, so essentially they should have lost.
Are suggesting a fix?

Pittsburgh didn’t so much win as Cincinnati gave it to them.

Here's a question for you. During a PAT kick, in one of the games today, the clock didn't move.
Are PAT's live game ? As in, if the defending team recovered or ran back an INT, does that not affect the game clock ?
Thanks

Here's a question for you. During a PAT kick, in one of the games today, the clock didn't move Funny you should ask that. Because, football geek that I am, I recently ran an American football simulation program I got from the Internet. And the clock did not run during the PAT simulations. So I'm thinking that PAT's freeze the clock. If that's wrong, perhaps someone will correct me.

While I didn’t care much which team won, I was extremely happy that the criminal Pen(itentiary) “25-to-life” Rapistberger lost!

For the most part the teams playing last week have been living week to week, and were used to bringing it home. They had momentum.
This week they were up against better, and in some cases healthier teams.

The clock does not run during PATs. That is true even if it is a blocked PAT and run for 2 points in favor of the defenders or, for that matter, in the case of an attempted 2-point conversion.

PATs are played by rule as one untamed down. In all PATs the clock does not move and even if there is a penalty requiring replay, it will be announced also as one untimed down.

The PAT is a play that is run outside of game time. If the opposing team intercepts the ball or kick and runs it back for a score, I think the result is called a one-point touchdown. It’s obscure but I saw it once in a college game. I don’t know if that applies to the NFL.
To: Leaning Right
That's why I wondered why Peyton took a time out during the two point attempt.
I know you can't take your sweet time to get a PAT, but in regulation, if you score a game-tying TD, and the clock is at zero, you are allowed to kick even with no time, to win the game.
I thought the PAT was always "off the clock" so to speak.
Maybe with a two point conversion, there's some 40 second time limit.
That would make sense, as if a QB didn't like what he saw lined up against him, the coach could change his mind and try a single point kick.

The play clock is separate from the game clock.

I don't think the NFL ever allowed a blocked PAT kick to be run back for one point.
The ball was dead.
Of course, that's not true as of this season with the point after being blocked and run back you get two points.
I think it only happened once this year.
But I think it's a good rule change.

"The play clock is separate from the game clock."
How long is it? 25 seconds or 40 seconds in a PAT?
Would Manning have gotten a delay of game penalty had he not taken the time out?

I did not see the amont of time left on the play clock, but he could have gotten a delay of game penalty. The coach might have wanted to look at the defence and called a timeout to plan on how to counter it.
