My rules has been effect for years: vote for the most conservative candidate in any given race. Never vote for a Democrat.
If Trump wins the Republican nomination, I don’t believe that I will be able to invoke the first rule as I doubt that I will be able to decide between Trump and Clinton as the most conservative, but since she will be the Democrat, I will vote for Trump.
Oh, I know, Trump has been saying what we have all wanted politicians to say for years. Noted. The question is does he really mean it. In the land where everyone lies, caution is required.
In the Republican primary, Cruz is the most conservative in the race. Rule 1 applies.

Trump said some very nice things in response. Ted Cruz also *personally* said some nice things.
Now - any guesses on the kind of bile Trump would have spewed if Palin supported Cruz?
It should help paint a portrait of the man.
