Vote Trump.
(Just practicing.:-)
"I also have an idea that I should finally make my first HTML table" hinted that I've meant to learn some more HTML anyway. I've already looked for instructions. I don't feel obligated, but I'm interested and probably not far from being ready.
No, you're not the only one. I'm probably one of the worst at holding my tongue. That's why I created the daily Caucus discussion thread.
Also, you can start commenting on the Caucus thread after it's expired. They run from midnight to midnight, daily. I think Doughty is in the Pacific Time Zone, but I'm not sure, so midnight where you are, might be ahead or behind his official timekeeping.
I would wait until he signals the all-clear, then comment there, if you want to. In the meantime, you can comment on the companion thread all you like.
Cool biz. Freeps who see a need, then pick up the tools to get the job done, are some of the best people we have.
Thank you!
Your tag line asks if it’s okay to put a period after your two-word vote. I wondered the same. However, I believe D1 said he’d FReepmail anyone who voted invalidly. So if he didn’t FReepmail you on your vote, then your vote is probably good.
Scanning the vote threads reminds me to ask a related question:
Some votes use "extra" punctuation (e.g. "Vote Doe!!!!!!!"). Some use non-standard capitalization ("VOTE DOE" or "vote doe"). DoughtyOne, do any of these habits invalidate votes?

I've changed the order a little compared to my similar post from yesterday. If we're not going to have a new discussion thread every day--I myself don't have much of a preference--I'll probably create those HTML tables a bit differently.
2 Iowa polls came out yesterday that everybody is dismissing??? One has Cruz up by 2, the other has Trump only
up by 1...
Why is everybody dismissing them?
Cruz up by 2% in New KBUR Iowa Poll (Cruz 27%. Trump 25%)

TRUMP AND CRUZ DEADLOCKED, WITH RUBIO A DISTANT THIRD, LORAS COLLEGE POLL FINDS
1/21/2016
. The statewide live-caller poll was conducted Jan. 13-18. Trump and Cruz were also at the top of the December Loras Poll.
TRUMP AND CRUZ DEADLOCKED, WITH RUBIO A DISTANT THIRD, LORAS COLLEGE POLL FINDS
One poll appears to have been conducted by a radio station, while the other was conducted by a college.
I've never heard of either one, and have no idea about their polling methods, internals, or quality of results. Do we even know whether either of these institutions is ideologically biased to the left (as is often the case with media groups and colleges)?
This is probably why "everybody" is dismissing these polls.
CNN is not biased? Show me a poll that is not biased
You're suggesting that all of the polls have been biased against Cruz throughout the race, and that the picture they're presenting is false. Per your logic, it's all a big left-wing conspiracy to fool the voting public.
Come on, friend, you don't really believe that. At least I hope you don't.
Simple observation alone should have informed you over the course of the race, that Trump has more voter support than any other candidate. You don't need a poll to tell you that. All you need is your own power to look and listen without self-imposed blinders on.
Don't let your loyalty and love for a given candidate impair your ability to see what's right in front of you.
I have said for years and years that I do not believe in the science of political partisan polling.
Sure I will concede even so would like the polls (bias as they are) to be for my guy, absolutely I will confess that.
However I believe you are rejecting the 2 polls in Iowa that came out yesterday that were good for Cruz, and you are also not taking a closer look at even the CNN poll, John King cautioned people and pointed out that they also asked people that voted 4 years ago and in that case also had Cruz up by 2
Sure we are all biased, me not so muxg as others, I am not affected personally by polls and advertising... the masses generally are
I believe you are rejecting the 2 polls in Iowa that came out yesterday that were good for Cruz
You say that you're unaffected by polls, yet you're encouraging me to pay attention to two polls that I've never heard of (which also happen to be favorable to your guy).
Which is it? Do polls matter, or don't they?
You seem to be making an exception for polls that reflect favorably on your chosen candidate. Some would call that hypocritical.
I worry that the masses will hear the results of the polls that are repeated over and over, and take that into their thinking when they vote.
The lemming effect is present in every political race, but a groundswell of choices by independent minded people always precedes it.
Trump's support began building from the moment he entered the race, and has not slowed down since. Those who've chosen to support him over the last eight months aren't those who look at polls and simply 'follow the leader'. They're the type who've studied the candidates, and have made up their own minds about them. The sheep will be along shortly, after they've let others do their thinking for them.
