In the highly unlikely event Cruz should become President, he’d have 2 years before the Republicans would HELP the Democrats obtain a majority in the 2018 midterms. And if the Republicans screw around and lose the majority in the Senate in 2016 he’d have gridlock from the get-go. Which of course Cruz likes.
I think a lot of people underestimate the negative consequences of everyone hating you. The POTUS isn’t a dictator, at least he shouldn’t be, so for someone who proclaims his strict adherence to the constitution (when convenient anyway) I think Cruz couldn’t get much of anything done...well at least nothing that he’s running on.
