I think a lot of people underestimate the negative consequences of everyone hating you.

I think a lot of people here underestimate the negative consequences of voting for someone who's lying to you to get what he wants. Trump may be a born-again conservative. Or he may be a liberal posing as a conservative to win an election. Like Obamacare, you have to vote for him to find out what he's really planning.

Why would Trump go through this kind of trouble? Why did Bloomberg spend hundreds of millions to become NYC mayor? Because it's the presidency - it's a chance to enter the history books. Nobody's ever heard of the 50th richest real estate investor in King Sargon's Assyria. Anyone who's ever covered ancient Near Eastern history has heard of Sargon.

And your candidate is better just how?

Being Mayor of NYC, while not a small job at all, does’t require taking the brutal abuse that running for POTUS, or being POTUS does...IMO.

Trump could just keep building towers and resorts but I believe he is worried about our country disintegrating further. He talked about the smell of death in NYC. I heard others talk about this and I’m sure you don’t forget it. Trump is a man of action - as he said he decided to do it himself..to stop the continued decline of the USA.

I for one am happy someone with his experience has stepped up to the plate and we aren’t stuck with the usual political hacks. You probably don’t agree but that’s my opinion.
