According to the police, there was a birthday party going on at 2:30 in the morning in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place.

“Someone” pulled out a gun and the gun began to emit bullets.

Mr. Taylor was trying to break up the fight, it is said.

The man who was carrying the gun ran away. He ran northward on what is delicately referred to as “King Drive.”

Many shell casings were found in the area. It is thought that the gun produced them as it fired.

Mr. Taylor is the father of a daughter.
