I remember him from “Forbidden Planet”. He played a straight guy for most of his career.
I think his Father was an RCMP, a Mountie.
I had seen Leslie on many TV shows in the 60s usually
as a bad guy on cop shows. It surprised me to read in a
TV Guide article at the time that he wanted to do comedy.
I’m glad he got his chance and he was quite funny.
