And, I should note, to distract from the official event that the party you are claiming to be a member of. All because you are afraid you might face some tough questions from someone who disagrees with you.

What a sad episode.

FB never disappoints.

Cal Harris who has stood trial numerous times for murdering his wife was arrested for harassment.

My SIL was arrested for a protest and posted it for bragging rights herself. She was protesting natural gas storage in the state and blocked the road. She couldn’t be more proud. I shudder at all the relatives who hit “like” and who commented on it. My daughter saw it and said “she always was a hippie”. I can’t bring myself to comment. I want to ask her if she turned off the natural gas to her home or if she expected people to be cold.

I actually think Trump is not showing up because he can get more political points with that. I doubt he is afraid of Megyn or her setups.

Fox News is doing everything it can to make itself look stupider and stupider and thereby make Trump look smarter for saying “No Thanks”.

They announced that they will have three “YouTube Personalities” as quasi moderators asking questions. Among them - an illegal alien activist and an Islamic activist. It almost makes you wonder if they tried to get Bathtub Fruit Loops girl but she was unavailable.

That’s the partnering with Google that is entirely stupid. Can’t argue with that.

Trump is still a petulant bully child who expects that all things will go according to his desires and that someone asking him tough questions is a sign of being “unfair.”

I personally think Trump is looking for an excuse for why he loses Iowa. IF only Fox hadn’t been so mean to me, I would have been in the debate and won.

Oh good! Fer a moment there, I was afraid I’d be reading about a dog who runs up and sniffs the - well, you know, unmentionables of house guests at the from door ... An enthusiastic Peckersniffian welcome that is.

I do not get the google/Youtube moderator crap, that’s just stupid. Who decides this stuff?

Who knows? Someone trying to “reach out” to these “kids today” wit their fancy “internet machines.”

Pathetic. IF a GOP debate is going to have internet people asking questions, it should be conservative people. Put @AsheSchow on there to ask about college rape hysteria/Title IX abuse.

It seems to me that if your job title is “YouTube Personality” then you don’t register very high on the overall relevance scale.

to be honest, I think there IS a place for it. xsbaby is conversant with some youtube personalities, and I do think it’s a youth thing. xsteen and xsboy are not into that. But it is NOT something for the main event like a debate, it could be a side thing done independently of a debate format. I do wish trump would be there to get a question from the Muslim, though, because I think he would respond in a more pointed fashion than the rest of the pantywaists are likely to. it’s the ONLY thing he has going for him IMO, and like I said, i’m agnostic on him, but he has balls far larger than the rest, to state things that need to be said. Islamophobia is NOTHING compared to muslim extremism, and that needs to be stated loud and clear.

One of my favorite things this cycle with the Trumpies is the assumption that anyone expressing a counter-opinion is trying to “order” people how to vote.

Did they ask a conservative ....no.

What would you expect? They probably don't even KNOW any.

it’s just such a food fight on all sides. Trump can [and DOES] act like a 5 year old, but the Fox press release about Trump was snarky and unprofessional and I have seen Britt Hume retweet stuff that’s embarrassingly puerile about Trump. NO ONE is looking like the adult in the room this go round, I am afraid.

True. I stopped watching FOX long ago. I have zero desire to start anew with them.

I am coming to the conclusion that the folks want to beat the Dems by dems rules just for the gloating privileges. The dems will get the last laugh when Trump produces for them, not for Republicans.

I STILL don’t get Laura Ingraham. I have had respect for her more recently than I have had for Ann Coulter, and she is def on the Trump side of the equation, maybe not FULL on trumpean, but definitely on that side. And as xshub said the other day: THIS IS A SMART PERSON [Laura], what is she thinking? to me, as always, the Supreme Court is paramount, because it will determine what sort of society we live in, and if Hillary/Bernie gets in there, that is that. And yes, we need to win at all costs because of that. But winning with Trump, who will make a DEAL with dems [he says he will], who has NO conservative ideological underpinnings to speak of, gives what sort of hope for conservative justices? Maybe he did not explicitly say he would nominate his leftwing sister, but he did say she was an excellent jurist and even if he just took her counsel we would end up with NIGHTMARISH picks. If we worry about rock-ribbed conservatives caving in on their convictions what can we expect from who is at best minimally-ribbed, let alone rock-ribbed, and who has no fixed convictions?
