How many CHARGING stations would they have to install around the tracks? How many days would the Indianapolis 500 take to run?
What about the diminished performance of batteries in very cold weather?
Fossil fuel engines MAY be old tech, buy the do have the ability (depending of tank size) to run a couple of hundred non-stop miles.
