The only ones I personally witnessed outside of NYC were in KC and Houston.
In KC it was nine people holding banners in the WWI monument parking lot.
In Houston it was about 30 people in Hermann Square - which is muncipal and which seems to always have bums sleeping in it, before and after OWS.
One officer is not going to stop two cars with six people who have all stated publicly that they are armed and ready to resist unless he has substantial backup.
It was a strategic move.
Why are you hung up on it being federal property?
And, again, why did they need to pull them over? You are proving my point that the government escalated a situation that had no need to be escalated.
The government and their response are the problem. The behavior of the government and the agents that carried out the commands are the problem.
These men posed absolutely no danger to the public. If the government had not made a tragic, strategic mistake to engage them, then this whole thing would have passed into memory.
