Hurting Ben Carson's Campaign
Talking Points Memo ^ | 2/3/2016 | Bill O'Reilly

Posted on 02/03/2016 6:09:05 PM PST by ElainaVer

"CNN is reporting that Ben Carson will stop campaigning after Iowa. Make sure to tell all of your peers at the caucus supporting Carson that they should coalesce around the true conservative who will be in the race for the long haul: TED C

BEN CARSON: “A culture exists within the Cruz camp that would allow people to take advantage of a situation like this in a very dishonest way. Isn't this the same thing we see with the Obama administration, the IRS scandal? No responsibility. ((EDIT)) They were awfully anxious to get it out there, weren't they?”

But the Cruz campaign is also wrong and Senator Cruz should take disciplinary action against some of his staff.

However, that may not happen:

RICK TYLER, COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR FOR TED CUZ: “We simply as a campaign repeated what Ben Carson had said in his own words. He said after Iowa he was going to go back to Florida for a couple of days and then he was going to go to D.C. to the prayer breakfast. And what that told us was he was not going to New Hampshire.”

But again, Carson had events booked in New Hampshire, so come on.

As far as CNN is concerned, it is standing behind its initial report, which is ludicrous.

That news agency screwed up big time and apparently doesn't care.

Talking Points has said it many times. The state of American journalism is on the verge of collapse.

Ideology has permeated hard news coverage and honest reporting is becoming almost scarce, especially in political circles.

CNN should apologize. Ted Cruz should take some action. And this should never again happen.

The Carson campaign was damaged by erroneous information, period.

And that's the memo.

The Carson campaign damaged itself. He will get more press from this.

I think trump supporters should vote for Ben in NH just to teach Cruz a lesson.

Oh by the way, Trump is dropping out of the race according to some low rent liberal news channel.

After the Talking Points Memo, Karl Rove shocked me by giving full support to Trump’s claims about Cruz . . going so far as to say they checked and all 1500 caucus sites had received the message from Ted Cruz. Rove said if only Four people from each of those caucuses had changed their vote from Carson to Rove . . it would have made the 6,000 vote difference that gave Ted the unexpected win over Trump.
Rove said it should be legally investigated.

You missed the whole point. If anybody else did what cruz did it would be sleazy campaigning by a scum bag. But cruz does it and suddenly it exact what Jesus would do.

So this was the Bloviator’s talking points?

People on team Cruz and Rubio repeated what CNN had just reported and that is a scandal? Must be a slow night.

I suppose if Carson had hung around for the Iowa Caucus his supporters couldn’t have gotten confused.

Did you also know that Cruz called Carson a homicidal psychopath? Talk about shocking!

I heard that everyone but Linda Grahamnesty is bowing out.

The Republicans have decided that the most urgent problem in America is making sure that Trannies can use any toilets they want.

They feel that Linda Grahamnesty is just the President to get that done.

Sleaze? Didn’t Trump compare Carson to a child molester?

On another thread, one of Carson’s own people released the information that Carson was going to Florida after Iowa. Carson was asked by a reporter (video included) why he thinks Ted should hold his team responsible for disseminating this information when he (Carson) isn’t holding his team responsible for leaking this information to the press in the first place.

“People on team Cruz and Rubio repeated what CNN had just reported and that is a scandal?”

It is a scandal because they did NOT repeat what CNN reported, as Karl Rove explained: Within mere minutes of the first CNN post, Chris Moody tweeted two more times making it totally plain that Carson was NOT leaving the race. Cruz didn’t send that message to the 1500 caucus sites . . and for that, he could be held responsible. According to Rove . .

No, no he did not. Context is something that that few you appear to understand, or intentionally ignore. That could also be called sleazy.

Nah....the bloviator and Rove made sure they NEVER mentioned that Rubio was doing the same thing. Coincidence? I think not.....

Don’t kill the messenger, chae. I’m just repeating what Karl Rove said tonight on O’Reilly. He didn’t mention Rubio.

My theory is the Rubio Campaign came up with this. He is the one the elites are counting on to maintain the status quo. It was his numbers that took a big jump and Trumps which took a dive. Ted’s numbers stayed close to what the poles predicted. Rubio’s team was pushing this, and yet it is Ted that gets all the blame. How convenient. Rubio can be a real sneaky fighter. Like his attack on Ted for Immigration that was just obfuscation for Rubio’s gang of 8 vote.
