I would presume because Rubio has so many handlers around him that he is protected from hard questions.
Like, for example, telling Jorge Ramos in a Spanish-language interview that he would keep Obama’s executive orders in place until he could force amnesty.

according to Christie. Such a boy "never answers your questions," he's "constantly scripted and controlled" and he lets "all of his handlers write his speeches and handle him." (From http://www.newsweek.com/boy-bubble-marco-rubio-chris-christie-422780)

"You know me," Christie told reporters Tuesday. "Unlike some of the other campaigns, I'm not the boy in the bubble, okay?" Rubio is "the boy in the bubble," according to Christie. Such a boy "never answers your questions," he's "constantly scripted and controlled" and he lets "all of his handlers write his speeches and handle him." Christie does not do these things, he insisted: "Let's see if he'll gaggle with you everyday like I gaggle with you everyday," Christie said.
Newsweek article: Why Did Chris Christie Call Marco Rubio The Boy in the Bubble?
To: Cats Pajamas
Chris Christie couldn’t possibly know something about Rubio that we all don’t know?
That strange, enigmatic reference by Chris Christie couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the idea that controllers might groom political puppets with a dark black-mailable stain in their past?
I am just asking.

Bubble boy. Immunodeficiency to germs etc.
Poor kid had to live in a plastic bubble with no human contact, sterile air food etc.
This context, no information input that which has not been cleansed.

Rubios college roommate, who he was arrested with, runs a gay porn website.
If the establishment loves him it probably means he is deeply compromised, ala Roberts.

Why does Christie keep calling Rubio bubble boy?...because he's an empty-headed, blowhard, bully - the recent blizzard which struck the northeast hit Jersey especially hard along the southern coast, unlike the infamous Hurricane Sandy, which struck the northern shore hardest - tidal flooding was at least a foot higher in many areas than during Sandy in the southern part of the state, with a number of shore towns swept by several feet of water in heavily populated areas - mayors in many towns called for state help, but Christie, campaigning in New Hampshire, didn't want to be bothered - he arrogantly and dismissively labeled one of the more persistent mayors as being "crazy" for saying the situation was worse than during Sandy and asked snidely "what am I supposed to do - go down there with a mop?" - belatedly coming to understand what was really going on the next day he quickly tried to recover by flying home for a quick presser, but he had once again betrayed his real contempt and indifference for those he supposedly serves when his own ambition gets in the way.......

Not a Christie fan, up front.
Suspecting it is because the media is protecting Rubio. He is inside their bubble.
