They were on the Guitar Center Showcase last month, there were a half a dozen original Chicago members. I heard Peter Cetera will be joining them at the RRHF ceremony next(?) month. I was hoping maybe he’d tour with them this summer.

Well Chicago hadn’t been the same since Terry Kath killed himself.

The guy had chops and a voice like Ray Charles. His friends still swear it was an accident.

The Spinners are my favorite soul band. My favorite song they ever did was I'll be around

Of course in Chicago’s early days, about half of their songs were about how much they hated Nixon.

I lost it when I heard.
EWF provided so much to the soundtrack of my formative years.
I went to see them whenever I could.
So sad.

White started out playing drums in the Ramsey Lewis Trio.
Before that he was an in-demand session drummer for Chicago blues and soul recordings, including some sides for Chess backing Buddy Guy and others.

Great band. Not my cup of tea, but I sure remember them.
RIP

Fire, the song, was by the Ohio Players, not Earth, Wind and Fire. If that's what you meant.
