These men and women are asking for change, and we support their right to challenge our government to make change. However, we do not agree with or support any citizen or elected official who would advocate for change in a manner that includes illegal action, threats of violence, or violence against any citizen of the United States.

So, back to the halls of black-robed tyrants? What recourse does a handful of wronged citizens have against an oppressive federal government? My, how far we have come since the Revolution.

I am starting to think that maybe, just maybe these guys in Oregon are right. that Tree of Liberty, Mr. Jefferson spoke of 200+ years ago is growing very withered and dried.
Your mentioning Dr. King’s sitting out Kennedy in the Albany, GA jail triggered a memory of Athens, Tennessee.
I would encourage folks to read about the “Battle of Athens”. I think this standoff could become the Battle of the BLM. Or maybe the second burning of Washington Dc.

Unfortunately, the tyranny of fed land grabs, eco Nazi or not, are not in the national spotlight as MLK’s civil rights issues were at that time.

Hopefully, Oregon will help bring current tyranny to light or at least widen the exposure, but I’m afraid that’s all it’ll do.

It’s funny that so many people, especially political junkies, have no idea what the issues are. Recall, Oregon Rep. Greg Walden spelled it all out on C-SPAN describing the legislation he wrote on this. The democratic process ran it’s course and nothing happened.

Because of all the annoying gnats that buzz around on FR, it’s best in small doses. Every year or so I pop in here and the same gnats are still at it. It is boring.

The biggest buffoon of all goes so far as to try to trick people by writing “This account has been suspended” to reduce complaints and I’m sure there are many. I used to donate but management appears to condone this so I don’t leave mad, I just leave. Take care.
