Yep, the "Top Secret" Emails Were All About Drones
Mother Jones ^ | 2-6-2016 | Kevin Drum

So just what was in those "top secret" emails that Hillary Clinton received on her personal email server while she was Secretary of State? The New York Times reports what everyone has already figured out: they were about drones. What's more, the question of whether they contain anything that's actually sensitive is mostly just a spat between CIA and State:

[Some of the nation's intelligence agencies raised alarms last spring as the State Department began releasing emails from Hillary Clinton's private server, saying that a number of the messages contained information that should be classified "top secret."]

...

Mostly, though, it seems to be a case of the CIA trying to bully State and win some kind of obscure pissing contest over whether they're sufficiently careful with the nation's secrets.

Release them all. Redact a few sentences here and there if you absolutely have to. It's simply ridiculous to have nebulous but serious charges like these hanging like a cloud over the presidential race with Hillary Clinton unable to defend herself in any way. Release them and let the chips fall where they may.

It is illegal to publicly state what is in those emails. Anyone who claims to know is either a liar or felon. And if they are a progressive, chances are they are both.

Sounds like Cheryl Mills has been selected as Sacrificial Lamb #1.

How convenient that the motive for her crime that doesn't involve Hillary was supplied - something about using classified information to get rich exploiting resources in the Congo.

This establishes fallback position #1 - Mills alone is dirty. Hillary didn't know about it, didn't lie about it, didn't try to cover it up.

This lame attempt should last about a week for the most diehard Clinton loyalist (most people will see through it at once). Then it's on to the next Hillary aide/spearcatcher with a new reason why it's not Hillary's fault.

Huma will be last, I suppose.

The idea is to run out the clock until people are tired of hearing about it (some folks are already there)

Ace reporter, Catherine Herridge, reported the FBI recovered Hillary/s emails she infamously wiped with a cloth...... these are the crucial emails that kick down the door to the buck-raking Clinton Crime Foundation.....uncovering the swirling vortex of the Clintons/ black hole of crime.

Did you notice that that Obozo is acting strange lately? Looking like he actually believes we have laws (shockeroo). B/c no one believes Obozo was oblivious to what the Clintons were doing.....he/s in this mess up to his half-caste neck. Plus his two post-presidential get-rich-quick foundations are in deep doodoo.

=================================================

SoS Hillary personally sent at least 17 emails that contained privileged information to longtime Clinton crony, Sidney Blumenthal, who Obama banned from working in government.

<><> Sid was paid to represent contractors w/ business interests in Libya...businesses predicated on the overthrow of Khadaffi. At the same time, Blumenthal was employed by the Clinton Foundation....hired to preserve Clinton's presidential legacy.

<><> The drip drip drip of Hillary/s emails raises new questions about Clinton hanger-on Sidney Blumenthal/s role in the Clinton orbit, including working simultaneously at the State Department and the Clinton Foundation.....as well as consulting private businesses looking to make deals in Libya predicated on Khadaffi's ouster.

One memo from Blumenthal to SoS Clinton entitled....My role, Germany, Iran, etc....revealed to Clinton that he had talked to Doug Band, a top aide to Bill Clinton and, at the time, an adviser at the Clinton Foundation... who also hired Hillary aide Huma Abedin....adding, It would be helpful if you and I speak soon to define parameters of what projects I should pursue ..... [snip]

========================================

<><> DOCUMENTED CONSPIRACY AND COLLUSION In 2009, the Clintons duped the public, the Clinton Foundation's Board of Directors, and its wealthy donors by announcing Sidney Blumenthal, a long-time adviser to both Clintons, had been hired...... (wait for it) to work at the Clinton Foundation on a project to promote Bill Clintons presidential legacy.

(waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)

But Sid's secret emails show that, while on the Clinton Foundation payroll, ostensibly promoting Bill's presidential legacy, Blumenthal was privy to valuable inside classified info...that was useful to the greedy Clinton Foundation, its donors, and to Sids sideline: co-opting his State Dept connection to cash-in as a consultant to businesses looking to profit in Libya.

<><> Most of the Blumenthal emails relate to Libya and some to Benghazi....areas that benefitted Blumenthal's private clients .... as he exploited his State Dept connections to make a buck.

<><> Obama and Hillary tool credit for the overthrow of Khadaffi......as Sid cashed in.

My fantasy election is Bernie vs Trump.

A man can dream.

Be careful what you wish for. Bernie is a true believer in socialism governmentism.
Trump is not a true believer in freedom - at least, I am not confident that he could articulate why if he is.
In the Paleolithic Era when I was a HS senior, a Civics teacher abused his position by assigning a homework question the answer he expected to which depended on the socialist assumption that “society” and “goverment” were the same thing. I was sure that he was wrong, but could not then articulate specifically why. It was the Clinton era, when FReeping, that I learned that Thomas Paine had dispatched that canard in Common Sense back in 1776:
SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness POSITIVELY by uniting our affections, the latter NEGATIVELY by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher.

Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one . . .

I, Pencil is an article written in 1958 by Leonard E. Read. It detailed much of the diverse inputs which go into making pencils and the inputs into producing those inputs, and the machines they require, and so on. The upshot of which is actually, tho the article did not use the term, that society and not Eberhard Faber alone makes the pencil.

Society, not government. If Bernie says, “You didn’t build that,” would Trump reply that to the extent, which is real, that no one does anything (other than, say, derive the General Theory of Relativity) alone, it is society and not the government which deserves that credit? I have no confidence.

Versus. Clinton, I would have confidence in Trump to throw Hillary completely off her game. There is an ineluctable “rock, paper, scissors” aspect to any political contest.

“They protect Hillary to protect themselves”

That is exactly right.
