The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area.

Longtime radio personality and The Big Broadcast host Ed Walker passed away early on Oct. 26 at age 83. We invite you to leave your thoughts and remembrances.

Saying Goodbye To Ed Walker

Ed Walker spent 65 years on the radio. His last program was unlike any other.

Happy Superbowl Sunday all!

We have a lovely lineup tonight, although it's surprising there isn't a football theme...Fibber McGee...the BB’s newest recurring 9pm show, the Halls of Ivy which I'm looking forward to...This is your FBI is usually interesting...and a hour long Suspense!

Are you going somewhere? Making anything? Drinking anything? I'll be away for probably the first half...

Hi, Vision! Well, we’ll probably tune in to the game, since it’s the “last football,” but we’ll still be here on the thread. If the game is a blowout, then we’ll turn it off.

Be safe, and we’ll talk to you in a little while when you get back.

Same here. It's as quiet as a crypt, work-wise. I'll be watching the Super Bowl, as well, but if Denver doesn't make a game of it, I'll turn it off and tune in.

Yeah, I'm pulling for Denver, if only because this is probably Manning's last time in uniform. A second ring would be a great way to go out.

Yeah, me, too. Cam’s young, and if the Lord’s willing, Cam has time to do good things.

Touchdown, Denver!!!

So I see. I was on break and missed it. I was rummaging in the fridge and found a couple jars of homemade pickles the missus canned from our garden lat year. Man, are they good. Crisp with a good garlic-dill bite.

Now I'm searching online for free plants and seeds by mail. Just scored a free spider plant, with free shipping.

Yes, a great game it is. Does WAMU's signal carry that far north, or is there a Baltimore affiliate carrying the show, as well?

I know. Darn near impossible to kill. And you can propagate the shoots into new plants. Right up Connie's alley. LOL

It does and it's at its limit. You can get it up to and around the harbor. Much more north and it gets static.
