Maybe robots need to be painted dark, and have limitations for so many robots with an accent etc
They’ll have to or the sex bots won’t have any customers.
Its more a question of finding where we can contribute in a job and employers making the effort to find workers who can contribute. Robots just mean that people doing the right work can contribute more than ever, if we do it right. The transition will be awkward, but mandating non-productive hiring is not the answer.
lol
Bunch of tripe.
The new jobs created will simply replace those that are lost the same as all advances have always done.
Sex bots LOL.
I’ve heard that someone was working on robots which will resemble human females in every possible way if you get my meaning. The implications of that are staggering.......
I don’t know, I might like having a burger made by a robot rather than a thug.
Having robots pick vegetables rather than Mexicans, oh you bet!
Having my Chevrolet made a robot rather than a UAW member; any day of the week.
This is an interesting thought process, but I think the gov’t dole to the gimmedats will bring things to a head much sooner as the ratio of tax-users to tax-payers grows too great.
When robots become so efficient at producing food, manufacturing materials, construction, energy production, etc... the only money you will find will be in a selected virtual reality.
We will have to have black, yellow, and red robots of course. White robot will not be required.
"How many Corvettes would you like me to run off for you?"
Hey! Robots could even become politicians...err...
I think short and medium term the more likely scenarios are that people will either work for the Government or they won’t work at all. Of course, programmers, engineers and maintainers will be needed in droves until even that will be handled by robots and AI computers. Long term however is a diffent matter...The best robots will design and build themselves. Will they become self aware? Will they love and hate, build and war? Which movie/story is the most likely scenario? Matrix, Battlestar Galactica, Terminator?
What’s robotic for “feather-bedding?”
My question is where will all these people find work?
When it all shakes out, probably only 20-40% of the current workforce will actually be employed.
Over-provisioning?
A major Japanese car manufacturer has a manufacturing plant now with 2 human employees.
And 24/7 robots.
