Watched a couple of videos of ‘common tators’ after the game who did not want to take the ‘shine’ off Cam.
Not sure what that meant for sure, other than diminish his ‘star’ status???
If the Panthers are up by 7 points in the same situation I bet he dives for the ball. He gave up, basically.

did he think his teammate had a better chance and he would be in the way.
It looked like he quit when he avoided trying to recover a fumble hemade. He looked like he would rather not be involved. Seldom see anything like that.

dont know what to make of it.
I grew up watching Sonny and Billy, Johnny Unitas (hi-top cleats), Meredith, Tarkenton, Joe Capp, etc. I can’t for one second imagine any one of them side stepping away from a fumble like little Cam did. That and throwing himself on the ground kicking. It was embarrassing to watch.
