“The Pusher” is actually a very good anti-drug song...and I’ve always liked Steppenwolf.
Not so much anti-drug, as it was anti-hard drug.
The dealer was okay in their song, because all he did was deal weed and pills. The pusher was the bad guy for pushing the stuff the dealer didn't (the assumption being cocaine, heroin, etc...).
