Glenn Beck has been campaigning for Ted Cruz this week in South Carolina, so he hasn't been able to keep up his radio schedule. He did take a moment to call in on Tuesday to talk about the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.
Beck's co-host Pat Gray couldn't understand why God wouldn't allow Scalia to live on until the election had finished. According to Right Wing Watch, Beck swiftly called the show to explain that God's motivation for taking the Justice had everything to do with Ted Cruz's campaign for president. Evidently, Beck believes Scalia's death will motivate Americans to elect him if they are faced with the haunting reality of a world without the Justice to fight for their liberty.
"I just woke the American people up," Beck said, pretending to be the mind of God. "I took them out of the game show moment and woke enough of them up to say, 'look at how close your liberty is to being lost. You now have lost your liberty. You replace one guy and you now have 5-4 decisions in the other direction. Just with this one guy, you've lost your liberty so you'd better elect somebody that is going to be somebody on [the court] because for the next 30 years, if you don't, the Constitution as you know it [is gone].'"
"The Constitution is hanging by a thread!" he proclaimed, repeating a line he has used on the stump. "That thread has just been cut and the only way that we survive now is if we have a true constitutionalist."

I’ve criticized Cruz today for his press conference this morning in which he was not truthful about Iowa, and I’ve criticized Trump for using a quote that was wrongfully attributed to Coburn.
No one is going to get a free pass from me, regardless if I support them or not, but whoever wins is going to get my vote regardless of my criticisms.
I gotta be honest. Truth matters to me.

One of Ted Cruz ‘s biggest supporters think there’s a very powerful force behind the Texas senator’s bid for the White House, and it’s responsible for Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s passing during an election year.
On Tuesday, conservative radio host and vocal Cruz backer Glenn Beck asserted on his talk show that God brought about the death of Scalia so America would “wake up†and vote for Cruz.
Speaking in the voice of the heavenly father, Beck told his audience, “You’re welcome. I just woke the American people up. I took them out of the game show moment and woke enough of them up to say, look at how close your liberty is to being lost.â€
Reverting back to his own voice, the radio host added, “You now have lost your liberty. You replace one guy and you now have 5-4 decisions in the other direction. This isn’t the first time Beck and other prominent Cruz supporters have claimed there’s some divine power behind Cruz’s candidacy.
Last week, Beck praised Ted Cruz as the man who could get America through the rapture.

The Cruz campaign is starting to look and sound more like Jim Jones. Check the campaign HQ and see if they are stockpiling Kool-Aid.

@sshole! First for being an insensitive jackass, second for presuming to say what G-d wanted. Beck doesn’t know, anymore than any of us. Maybe he is correct (though I doubt it), but even if so he had no right to say that.

If in fact the headline is a correct quote, then why have all these different liberals sources (3 now. See post 43) FAILED to use that quote in their article?
I'm not saying Beck is not that stupid. God knows he has and will say stupid stuff like this. It's just that I don't take any liberal source at face value. They will use idiots like Beck to divide and conquer ALL conservatives.

Give it a listen when you get the chance, it's very clear in the first 30 seconds or so, then the rest is for context.
I don't hold this against Cruz but I'm sure others will here...I hope Cruz can somehow distance himself from this guy though.

If God wanted Ted to be President of the United States, why did he have him born as a natural born citizen of Canada?
