I'd also like the age to vote raised to 26.

Age has nothing to do with how smart you are or how well you can vote.

It is apparent right here on FR

LOL....

Yes, I know, it's supposed to be HOT there Friday; the kiddos told me days ago.

Will it be hot all weekend?

That’s true; however most 18 year olds, especially now, aren’t intelligent, well educated enough, nor keep up with the news to be able to make a knowledgeable choice..yet they are allowed to vote.

A place where you are not allowed to own a firearm is not a ‘refuge of sanity’.

Yes, it DOES sound Cajun.

Perhaps Acadian, as you suggest.

I agree about the web site. :-)

“So I sit here at 3am in Texas with the windows open in a tee shirt I might add.”

It’s not that bad, the overnight low is 21 degrees.

Poutine [I believe] is an acquired taste. I don’t happen to love it like most people do. I think it is too greasy. Kinda bland.

It’s a hearty dish made up simply of French fries, fresh cheese curds, and brown gravy. It is famous for its *day after* curative powers.

Does anyone care? I think Trump may own a links course on Cape Breton. Cabot Links?

The low today is 62 and the high later will be 80.”

I hate you.

j/k

Maybe.

“Cape Breton has yet to experience the full force of the coming ravages of the Justin Trudeau tenure.”

My thoughts also, Canada is already very liberal and highly taxed. Trump could build a resort on Cape Breton and provide some jobs.

So you’ve never been to Cape Breton AKA “Canada’s West Virginia”? The big industries were coal and steel. The mine and mill closed long ago. There is not much left to ravage.

In the old days of campaigning and a less vigilant voting public, Cruz would've gotten away with a lot of this stuff. Trump and Sanders have succeeded in getting a majority of US citizens involved before the nominations were a done deal.

Cruz is playing by the old assumptions, that he'd get away with the dirty tricks and regional message. AC (After Cochran) it's not possible. I too, wonder about Cruz's smarts. He hasn't evaluated the situations as they evolve and he doesn't know when to apologize and mend his ways.

I'm with you concerning the kids. I tend to judge people by their kids and how they treat them. Cruz is the only one using his children as campaign props. That's different from Trump's adult children being part of his campaign staff.

I doubt it will be spared the carnage that would be caused by a trump administration.

Only to be exceeded by a Sanders or Clinton win! (BTW, between those two, I'd favor the Hildebeest. Given a choice between a crook and a true believer, always vote for the crook! Greed is less powerful than ideology. Or religion.)

I'm for Cruz.

But if Trump wins the nomination, he has my vote. My scorn goes to all who would vote 'Rat, third-party, or stay home!

Ages ago I spent a summer camping in Maine and the Martimes. West coast of Cape Breton was my favorite spot. Wild, beautiful, and sparsely populated. Bras D’Or as well.

Tiny fishing village on west coast provided fresh caught lobster right at dockside for embarassingly low prices.

Too bad chronic unwmployment has been in two digits forever. Teen alcoholism and drug use has been rampant as well.

The Anitgonish Highland Games may have the largest concentration of redheads in this hemisphere. Startling at first view. ;>)
