>>It means he's Presbyterian.

FAIL.

Presbyterian doctrine recognizes the need for repentance.

"They repent of their sins (both at their conversion and thereafter), produce good works as the fruit of their faith, and persevere to the end in communion with Christ, with assurance of their salvation."

2 Peter 3:9
9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
NIV

What does repentance mean?

Not the same as “asking for forgiveness”. We believe that the Sovereign God chose to forgive us for all past, present, and future sins before we were even born and that Jesus washed us clean on the cross 2000 years ago. We believe that god has not only forgiven, but forgotten our sins as if they never happened.

So, we repent (go and sin no more), but we don’t have to ask for forgiveness from our Father because we have been chosen to be his children.
