Prices have sure gone down now that makers can buy mass-produced Damascus from China and a few other places, rather than having to do it by hand at their own forge or buying billets from Jim Hrisoulas and a couple of other guys that sold them.

I’d have gotten several hundred dollars for one like that back in my day, and I was far from a well known maker. (Only got my work shown in Knives Illustrated twice and Blade once, and a few tiny photos in the Knives Annuals over a couple of years.)

Tried making my own Wootz steel a few times, but only managed to get enough useful material for a few miniatures.

That is beautiful.
Went to the site. Saw no mention as to shipping to the USA. You happen to know if that can be done? Might be listed as a weapon of mass admiration. :)
One son is a collector and he’d love to have something like that.
