I can remember when we used to fight the commies with real bullets. I was there. Now we have one sitting in the White House. I'll be damned if I won't use my vote (the vote that millions of our fighting men fought for and many died to defend) to try to keep another one out. Even voted for McStain and Myth Romney trying. I'll have absolutely no problem voting for Trump. Especially since I believe he truly is an America-first capitalist unlike Hillary and Sanders, either one of which would complete Obama's task of completely destroying America.
As I would vote for Cruz should he win.
What is your stance on Rubio, Jim?
Thanks, Jim.
Amen.
Amen to that!
Couldn’t say it any better.
Thanks Jim
But would you swim through beer with your mouth closed?
That's why Trump is my first choice.
In my estimation, this country is in an existential crisis, the likes of which we've never seen before. We must have someone in office who will lower the hammer on enforcing our immigration laws, or America will become a majority Democrat country in the next four years.
All of our considerations about conservative purity and ideals will be like so much confetti in the street, should that happen. None of that will matter, if the next president completes Obama's "fundamental transformation" of America.
For my money, Trump is the only candidate running who is believable and credible about his intention to stop the invasion, and deport the 40 million future Democrat invaders in our midst.
Nothing else at this time is more important than preventing the wholesale replacement of the American people, by an invading force of colonizing millions.
Perhaps after eight years of Trump setting things back to normal, we can elect a conservative to run a restored America. At this point, no conservative can even win the general election. It's either Trump, or Revolution II, in my opinion.
Two things have turned me off of him, though I love his positions:
1) He's got this greasy, disengenious feel to him. The various shenanigans in the completed primaries, and when he's doing commercials, show him to be a bit smarmy.
2) When he promised to endorse Rubio, he showed he was lying to us all along. He's part of the globalist/elitist pack.
That leaves Trump, for me.
I agree.
Cruz is the guy.
Trump is a wild card. If he’s the nominee, of course I vote for Trump.
I will vote for anyone who would keep HER out of the White House.
The issue with Trump is he is a wild card who could win a landslide.
But he could lose at McGovern or Mondale levels.
Republicans are generally decent people. Democrats and liberal media aren’t. They will have Trump’s number in ways the Boy Scout Republicans don’t.
It is a much safer bet going with Cruz.
.
Jim, what happens when Trump is so damaged that he gets less support than McCain?
There is so much out there to sink Trump that it cannot possibly all be smothered, and he has no control over what the MSM will run with.
Obviously what little is seeping out at present is nothing but the spots on a ladybug’s back. He is going to get the full nelson when the convention is over.
.
I have said the same thing Jim, over and over. Cruz is my favorite but I will vote for Trump if he is the nominee. I am just tired of all the nasty hateful words I am reading here on FR. I have been staying away more than usual because of that.
I agree with you. Every adult in our family already voted for Cruz but would vote for Trump if he ends up being the Republican candidate, particularly if he has someone like Sessions for his VP.
Jim, can you lift the silly restrictions on my account? I’ve been here since the beginning, and have not left comments any worse than most Trump supporters.
Given the results of the head to head polls where the respondent choses between either communist candidate and the candidate from New York City. the communists are besting his numbers.
the last of these polls is a mere two weeks old.
this does not bode terribly well for the NYC Candidates chances came election day.
Jim — I’ve been here nearly 20 years. I’ve been involved in many FReeper activities over the years. I’m solidly conservative, both fiscally and socially.
And my account is crippled. I can’t send private messages, I can’t post without that “moderation” alert. I, like you, am pro-Cruz and defend him when he is attacked. Which is, sadly, always now.
Can you reinstate my account? Allowing a pro-Trump moderator to cripple my account is just silly. Thanks.
Voted for Cruz two days ago in Missouri Primary (Absentee ballot). But I’ll travel with Trump if he is our man, come November. We don’t need another heretic in the White House.
I'm fortunate enough to have voted for Reagan twice. It would be nice to have another "true blue conservative" to vote for before my voting days are over but it's shaping up to be another hold my nose and vote for another candidate that I'm not happy with. My problem with Trump is he talks the talk but will he walk the walk.
I know that's always an unknown with these guys but Trump's unknowns are even greater since he doesn't have a political track record and he's had a lot of left wing positions over the years.
My tin foil hat was spinning this morning...Lord, Thy will be done...in spite of deals.
“The media points to a party hosted by Nouriel Roubini in 2009 which was attended by George Soros, Trump, and Oliver Stone. Coincidentally, it was 2009 that Trump changed his party status from Democrat to Republican. Soros invested $160 million in Trumps Chicago skyscraper which was completed in 2009. In 2009, Trump Entertainment Resorts filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The largest holder of Trumps debt was Avenue Capital Group. At the time, Chelsea Clinton worked for the firm 2006 to 2009. Marc Lasry, one of the co-founders of Avenue Capital is a strident backer of Hillary. In 2013, Lasry stepped down from Avenue Capital after Bill Clinton pushed Obama to name him as the new US Ambassador to France. Unfortunately, Lasry had to ultimately decline when he was found to be involved in a money laundering international poker ring. Trumps daughter married orthodox Jewish businessman, Jared Kushner, in 2009. Trump adamantly claims no ties with anyone. But sometimes, one protests too much, and we find the truth is far different.”
