I’ve seen Rush’s true colors after his love affair with the Bush family and the Second Iraq War, he was a real promoter for “W” and that crazy war, especially after he was invited to spend the night in the Lincoln Bedroom at the White House. His inflated view of himself was best summarized by a poster on this site years ago: “I am Rush Limbaugh and I am friends with God and other important people”.
Yup. I was saying something like that to my husband earlier. Even if Rush gets no extra $$$$, he does love access. People who live in the sort of luxury he does - they are not hermits. They want to see and be seen - even if the public isn’t privy. It’s the beautiful people set. It’s the, “Oh, I won’t name drop”, just so we can know they have names they COULD drop to impress the little people. The laugh up their sleeve sort.
