Actually the quote goes back to Roman time, nice try moron

OK...The quote from Mussolini is not really the point, it is used as a vehicle to contrast Trump bombastic character versus the Founding Fathers character ...

How many of our founding fathers would be voting for Trump ?

I think not many...

There is one part of your post I agree with “I think not” what a stupid post...do you really think you got this down? You are just brainwashed by the same group who has controlled who is in office for decades now...there are a large and growing group of us who have been freed from that. The fact that both parties elites are against Trump is proof of the revolution going on. Trump leads the next generation Tea Party movement.

“How many of our founding fathers would be voting for Trump?”

LOL. I bet all of them.

This article is completely misguided and stupid.

Trump will operate within the framework of the constitution. If he doesn’t, congress can remove him from power.

The article is suggesting that POTUS needs to be a weak man to preserve our freedom. BS.

Weak presidents will be exploited by Putin, by the Chinese, by the Arabs, etc. They will be abused in the world stage and will be left with nothing.

I think not many

What you think and what the reality might be, if it were even possible, may not be the case.

I think our Founders would absolutely be upset if they were to miraculously return. I think given their desire to be free means they would support Trump.

But either speculation is that, speculation, and nothing more. It is not only a useless, but a fool hardy, exercise in futility.

What’s wrong with bombastic? Our founders had plenty of that element in their character. So?

Oh, I don’t know, my image of Samuel Adams is pretty darn bombastic !

I think we need a little more of Samuel Adams’ bombastic right now.

It was exactly the point.

It was an attempt by Gawker to entrap Trump into quoting a fascist dictator. It backfired because it wasn't a Mussolini quote, it was from Italian soldiers in 1917 defending to the death their village from attack in WW1.
