FULL TITLE: Tragedy as pregnant woman dies during her NINTH abortion leaving three orphaned daughters because her mother-in-law was desperate for a grandson

A woman from Guangdong, China, has died after being forced to have her ninth abortion by her mother-in-law because she was desperate for a grandson.

The woman, surnamed Chen, had already given birth to three daughters, the People's Daily Online reports.

She was previously forced to have eight abortions when scans revealed that she had conceived more daughters and died due to internal bleeding during her nine abortion.

Chen died in July 2015 but the details were only revealed on Tuesday in Chinese media.

Chen's mother-in-law was desperate for a grandson and so forced her to abort her unborn children via induced labour after she discovered they were girls.

According to reports, Chen became depressed and at one point contemplated suicide.

On her ninth abortion, she entered the operating theatre but did not come out alive.

Chinese Granny could not accept maybe God wanted her to have female grandchildren so puts daughter in law thought hell. Consider this all Chinese Grandmothers out there, your daughters and granddaughters are the wombs that will carry on your DNA. Same on you Chinese Grandmothers for not realizing this!

Some genes are more suicidal than others.

In China, having an abortion is like going to the dentist. No one opposes it (not publicly anyway), there is no moral censure (religion is highly restricted anyway) its totally free, open and even encouraged by the government.

I’ve seen it up close. Its absolutely mind-boggling.

She should have died during her first abortion.

The woman, surnamed Chen....

Well that narrows it down.

Daughter in law is now dealing with more than an upset granny.

Sad. The odds of conceiving 12 daughters is roughly the same as winning 12 caucus coin flips in Iowa.

I hate to say this but I wish it were in America this happened right before the Supreme Court rules. That would have been perfect ammo for the pro-life groups.

Actually, on the new and improved FR there is the need for the /sarc when discussing PP. Here’s a thread full of FReepers justifying PP. http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3404607/posts

It’s the reason for my new tagline.

In 2008 no...

In 2016, there are people on this site who think Planned Parenthood does good things... and they are voting that way in the primary.

He was busy getting his wife pregnant so his own mother could have a grandson one day. I’m betting he’ll be working on a new wife soon.

The son’s mother ruling the roost is a long long-standing way of life in China. The son’s wife is utterly subservient to her mother-in-law, and lives for the day when she can bully her own daughter-in-law.
