My other 3 year old hen, Penelope, who was raised with Dixie, has been sitting next to her on the ground, just keeping company. It’s sad and sweet at the same time. It’s as if she knows her old friend isn’t well and is protecting her and providing comfort.
That is cool-I’m sure any creature appreciates company-other than arachnids and some lizards, of course...
