Tenacious, courageous, a man of conviction, disciplined, fearless, reasonable, ethical, uncompromising, focused, and more. He is uniquely equipped to fight an open war against monumentally powerfully enemies of our Constitutional government.
Trump is a man who is easily disparaged. He does not hide in his cocoon but stands forcefully in full view of his detractors and friends. He is precisely the strong independent that can bring down the establishment.

Was he a man of conviction when he was against H1Bs and H2Bs, or when he was for them?

Was he uncompromising when said everything was negotiable?

Tenacious, courageous, a man of conviction, disciplined, fearless, reasonable, ethical, uncompromising, focused, and more.

Tenacious - He has a bombastic personality and stubbornness that can reasonably be described as tenacious, but then Ted Cruz stood against the leadership of both parties in the Senate and held firm even when most of the rest of his colleagues rolled over for Obama.
courageous - How courageous was it to refuse to participate in a debate simply because Fox wouldn't kowtow to his demand to remove Megyn Kelley from the moderator panel?
a man of conviction - I have yet to see a single principle (other than his own aggrandizement) to which he demonstrates any conviction. he says he is pro-life but he believes Planned Parenthood does great things; he says he is committed to gun-rights and is a member of NRA, but he supported the so-called assault weapons ban;
disciplined - his vacuous vulgarity in response to any kind of criticism or challenge is the antithesis of discipline.
fearless - he is fearless when surrounded by his security guards, but is he even capable of sitting down face to face and having a conversation without shouting down his opponents? that is a trait of a coward who has no confidence in his ideas.
reasonable - reasonable people can articulate the validity of their ideas (with some specifics rather than just flowery hyperbole) rather than resorting to ridicule and name-calling. Trump is exactly like Obama in how he mocks and vilifies those who deign to disagree with him.
ethical - Trump University -- which he had to rename because including the word "University" in the name was fraudulent -- belies the notion that Trump has any ethics at all. This "institute" is a con that preys on the poor and unfortunate by promising gullible "students" that if they pay for the seminars and courses, where they get an opportunity to learn about more expensive seminars and courses, they will learn how to become wealthy real estate investors like The Don.
uncompromising - his own book "The Art of the Deal" boasts about what a dealmaker he is and how everything is negotiable. He takes advantage of illegal immigrant labor in building and operating his casinos, but has based his whole campaign on how he will get rid of illegal immigration and make Mexico build the wall to secure our border, but now is singing the praises of H1B1 visas because we need more tech workers while at the same time deploring Disney for replacing American workers with H1B1 visa immigrants.
focused - he can't finish the sentence of one insult before blurting out a different insult, and then he can't finish that insult without interjecting a comment about how smart, talented, and well-endowed he is. His "focus" makes my golden retriever's ADHD look like a zen master.

Trump can never be counted on to "bring down the establishment" because he has played the establishment for decades to benefit his own interests. His contributions of over $100K to the Clinton Foundation should be enough evidence to anyone that thinks he is taking on the establishment that his whole campaign is a fraud.

I am an issue oriented person. I want to know what platform they are running on. Let’s take abortion. After donating to Democratic proabortion candidates for decades Trump’s now firmly antiabortion. Hmm. Wanted to shut down Planned Parenthood after the selling baby parts fiasco, yet he’s walked back from that now and praises Planned Parenthood. Will “negotiate” a deal with them to continue federal funding? What is it? Can’t have it all ways.

On Obamacare, he said ...oh, I am against that. Then, at a rally when asked a question, he states that he is for FREE healthcare for all. Which is it?

On immigration, he’d build a wall and end illegal immigration....yet he will “negotiate” federal visa programs...what exactly is his position there? He slams Disney for firing folks and hiring from the visa immigrants....so where exactly is he really on this issue?

I could go on with Trump. I sat here last night trying to follow Trump’s answers and determine what he is saying.....yet all I heard was “Lyin’ Ted” and “Little Marco”...until I was ready to scream.

Trump is a petty tyrannical man....works great if you are in business and THE boss of that business. Does not work so great when running for public office. Then he is MY employee and I simply can’t trust him on the issues. He is “flexible” on all the issues from what I can see.

For me, Cruz is firm in his beliefs and acts with conviction in public office to uphold those beliefs. That counts for a lot with me.
