Ted Cruz says stopping Donald Trump at a brokered convention would lead to a 'revolt' ...

Ted Cruz has rejected the idea of stopping Donald Trump's presidential campaign at a brokered convention, saying the move would lead to a 'revolt' among voters.

...

Cruz likely has his own reasons for wanting to avoid a brokered convention, however, as it is unlikely that he would receive the backing of many superdelegates, once released from the candidate they are now tied to.

...

In the case of a brokered convention, Rubio and Kasich likely have the most to gain - and unsurprisingly they are the two candidates thought to be preparing for just such an event.

I personally would rather Trump pick someone outside of the primary candidates. I don’t think any of them bring much to the ticket. A Trump/Hunter jr ticket would be incredibly good.

How Kasich could still be in the race is beyond me. Very troubling that he garners any support.

Cruz never did release the schedules to his taxes. So we will never know how many millions sleazy Goldman has been shoveling into the Cruz Family.

Reagan picked Bush to appease the GOPe and prevent them from doing what they have been trying to do to Trump. Trump may or may not feel like giving the GOPe a peace offering.

Also Donald’s face speak volumes when they are shaking hands behind him.

“There would be a run on pitchforks if the GOPe forces a brokered convention.”

I’m thinking of applying for the pine-knot & coal-oil torch concession for the convention since you seem to have the pitchfork thing all tied up already.

BTW, I think it would be strategic to set our booths up next to each other.

Once Rubio loses FL, he’ll be finished. He can take his handful of delegates and show up at the convention and try to convince 1100 more to join him. Kasich can do the same thing. Cruz won’t have anywhere near 1237. Trump will be the closes by far, and he may actually have 1237 or more. A candidate also has to have 8 states where they’ve won the majority of delegates, Rubio doesn’t have any, and probably won’t get any, Cruz has only 1 (TX) right now, but Trump has 5 right now.

First of all, policy weeds in a primary are a trap TRUMP is not walking into.

Perfect. Just perfect.

This is the most accurate thing I've seen you post.

“Cruz is going all out to win in Fl because he knows that if Rubio wins they go to a brokered convention and both he and Trump would be odd men out. “

At a brokered convention, Cruz’s and Trump’s delegates combined blow Rubio completely out of the water.

BS.

Cruz posed as *anti-establishment* just beginning when he left the Bush campaign behind and loaded his ambition onto the TEA PARTY train taking hold in TEXAS.

Before that there are NO accounts of Cruz being even marginally religious, and lots of accounts that he was more John Roberts moderate/liberal, and who Bush aides claim Cruz pushed for the Supreme Court.

You don’t join forces wrapped in Goldman Sachs connections through the Counsel on Foreign Relations, the Bush team and wifey writing up the North American Union agenda for “friendliness” to South America, and get to call your dang self anti-establishment.

Cruz is a player.

Well not worry as Trump is now and has been leading FL by 20 pts. Rubio has a better chance of getting stabbed by Glenn Beck than winning Fla. LOL!

f it goes to a brokered convention and they squeeze out Trump, it will be the end of the GOP. That is the entire Republican Party. The communists Democrats will take control of the Federal Government and the end of America. Believe it.

Well said..and accurate. If “they” pull some caper at the convention denying Trump the nomination, Republican voters will stay home in protest. Senate and House seats will default to the Democrats because no Republican voters turn out...what a disgrace. Denying voters wishes and our country’s future so they can keep their perks...Shameful!

They know one on one Rubio will get destroyed and Trump would get the necessary amount of delegates. They have Cruz and Rubio in so they can do vote sharing, Romney said as much
