Listen the only living things that don't judge are usually found in the plant kingdom.

Without judgement there would be no Republican or Democratic party.

How are we to judge? Rightfully. Even the verse quoted so often by those ignorant of the Bible in context (Judge Not) is about judging rightly. It says to remove the speck from you own eye to start judging rightfully again. It is about how a hypocrite needs to clean up his act and start judging as the Lord intended him to do.

Discernment - 1. The act or process of exhibiting keen insight and good judgment.

I don't know if you are married (none of my business really), but when my wife goes to the park with our children certain scenarios may occur requiring good judgement.

First the wife scans the park to see where a safe place is to set up camp. I am a big ugly fellow (6'3" 240lbs). If my wife didn't know me odds are she would probable pick a location away from where I was set up and would choose the another location that she deemed safer. Perhaps next to another lady with her children. Is what my wife did being judgmental?

Yep, God gave her the discernment to choose what she deemed to be a safe place for her children. Others might call it other things like unsocial or even racist. But the point is judgment is not always the bad things this PC world makes it out to be.
