If Trump gets the Republican nomination he can easily beat Hillary and any other Dem by winning 35-37-40 states. Trumps biggest obstacle is getting the Republican nomination

Cruz is OK by me but does not have that wide Trump appeal

What about New York?

New York is guaranteed for the democrats. Democrats usually win NY by a wider margin than in California. No one seriously believes Trump will be even close.

Trump will win New York.

This article is seriously flawed in its analysis because it fails to take into account that New York is in play and New York State is going to go with Trump.

Despite this, it is a worthwhile article and definitely worth reading - thank you for it.

"Welcome to the White House, Mr. Trump."

Many of us would like to see this become reality. However, optimism sometimes cause failure due to complacency. In addition, in the case of US elections since there is no voter identification, cemetery residents and illegals have the same voting "rights" as law abiding people.

Until I see, this, it's wishful thinking.

I have always been ready for “President Trump”, I just did not know who would fill that position until The Donald got into the race.

Maybe he is not Ronaldus Magnus. But he is the best by a fair margin of the crop being offered up this year. Ted Cruz apparently would have every attribute now given to The Donald, but he started off without the blessing of the Establishment Republicans, and now that they come around trying to use him as their stalking horse to force a “brokered” convention, Cruz is not playing from their stacked deck. But Cruz also lacks many of the built-in advantages that came with The Donald, not the least of which is the almost universal name recognition, and the fact that The Donald is doing this all on his own dime.

The Donald did not have the blessing of the Establishment Republicans either, but then what could they do? The Donald brought his own agenda, unencumbered by strings to other people’s money, and is beyond their control or even polite conversation. John Galt has made a stand, to come out and be counted by the people, and what a counting they give.

The Donald has an appeal that crosses just about every demographic, and includes, perhaps for the first time in their lives, millions of individuals who would not have given the Republican party the least consideration if not for the phenomenon of The Donald himself.

“The billionaire next door”, with the common touch.

Hillary’s opposition to fracking should help in Pennsylvania- they have about a hundred thousand fracking jobs there. Ohio too.
If the business hasn’t collapsed by November.

I don’t think Trump can do it. He flip flops like Mitt Romney on the issues.

I believe Trump when he says he can take Pennsylvania, NJ, Conn, NJ and OH. Culturally he’s like a lot of those folks.

One would certainly think so. But thanks to an insurance mandate for unlimited substance abuse rehab in our fair Commonwealth, we’ve got way more than our fair share of drunks, stoners and druggies.

I sincerely believe there will be far more “swing states” in this election than in any election since Reagan obliterated Walter Mondale.

What, Minnesota and DC?

As long as Trump does not back down from the wall and enforcement of our laws he will trounce Hillary.

Nope New York ain’t gonna be in play. How many times did we hear over the last 3 or 4 presidential elections that California was in play?

Not really, People mistake positions for political donations. Donations only show that you want the politician to believe you are his friend.

Positions on the other hand are things that you put on your web page as plans once you get in office.

Where has Trump flipped on something on his web site?

BTW, expanding and adding detail does not constitute flipping. (Unless the detail can lead to a reversal)

Foe example, Immigration. Trump has not changed any of the wall or the deportation. He has never spelled out the detailed plans, leaving the decision of how to tax Mexico for the wall payments (likely a fee on money transfers or a fee on border crossings for Mexican trucks) He has not said how we will determine who is a “good” illegal (presumably not a gang member) but these are things clearly under the purview of the Congress and thus the concept of “negotiation”. Any president will do this with Congress (except the current Pres).

Don’t laugh at us. It is now part of the national ObaMaoCare mandate. Our county at least cracked down and limited the rehab choices to those within a 50 mile radius.
