Yes, get to a dr. My mom’s dr wrote her off as having dementia, but we had noticed that she had been having funny ‘episodes’ - completely zoning out, not recognizing people, etc.previous to that. When my husband and I moved in to take care of her, I took her to a different dr where she had one of these episodes in his office. He sent her to a neurologist who diagnosed it as a form of epilepsy. By the time the diagnosis was made, damage had been done to her brain. She was put on medication that helped here regain memory and she could stay by herself, however, the damage had been done. Apparently, she had been having these episodes for awhile before we knew.
Please get to a dr now. You want to prevent that kind of damage. Or, at least get an answer as to what is happening.

Get off the computer and have somebody take you to the emergency room at your local hospital.
Psychedelics can be trapped in the fatty body tissues for decades and then release when you start burning the fat away. I had a friend who went to the ER over a similar episode and they took a while but figured out from his urine sample that it was mescaline in his system even though he hadn't used it since he was a teenager nearly fifty years ago.
You need to get to the hospital ASAP, though, because the first thing they think of when you have that sort of episode is a stroke or a series of small strokes that can lead to a major one.
Could be a brain tumor or previous injury. Something is definitely not right.
Please go to an emergency room now. Talk to them.
As others have said, call a relative, a friend or as a last resort call 9-11, but get yourself checked out, get yourself to the hospital ASAP!
What you are experiencing is not normal and could be indicative of any number of medical conditions.
Are you or have you been sick recently? Had an infected cut or a bug bite?
Are you or have you been running a fever, having headaches and a stiff neck, sensitivity to light?
Not offering a diagnosis, I can’t, but I ask because the hallucinations you are having sound exactly like what my dad was having – it turned out to be bacterial meningitis.
Please get medical attention and then, afterward, let us know you are OK.

Sounds like a serious bout of mid-life crisis. A lot of people would probably pay for those sort of dreams. As far as the scrambled alphabet problem, it could be something as simple as not getting enough sleep.
You might want to talk this over with your doctor just to get your mind clear of it.

My son started having issues like this and it turned out to be an medication issue. (Chantix plus muscle relaxants plus benzos - all prescribed)
Thankfully, it was figured out before anything terrible happened.
Could also be a stroke or schizophrenia.
Either way, this is a MEDICAL ISSUE and you MUST get to a doctor ASAP.
His writing was normal and coherent as of the 5th.
