Ok lets just say I am totally ignorant. Are you here to tell us that there was no possible way to detain LaVoy without killing him? What about all the chances they had in the days and weeks leading up to this event? That now all of a sudden he was such a unbelievable threat that the law enforcement had no other choice than to be judge jury and executioner?
May I ask you what the rules of engagement are currently for our military in a war zone? Do you believe that “he was reaching for his pocket” would be sufficent to shoot a guy in an intersection in downtown Bagdad?
Do you not believe that law enforcement should be required to show more restraint than say our military, considering they are dealing with American citizens?

I believe if I were a law enforcement officer, and I had a man who’d been telling me I’d have to shoot him to subdue him, and then he exited his vehicle and walked toward me, repeatedly yelling “Go ahead and shoot me” and “You’re gonna have to shoot me” and then he reached for a weapon, I’d have emptied my freaking magazine into him. These cops showed incredible restraint not to let this get out of hand and end up with four dead people instead of one.
