It’s not a mischaracterization. Cruz had a chance to come out decisively against MoveOn/BLM leftists and he hasn’t. He’s blamed Trump for the protests. Two days in a row now he’s gone around on the shows blaming Trump. There’s no escaping it. In typical lawyer fashion, he says “Violence bad, BUT....” and then goes on to blame Trump.

Maybe listen to his entire remarks, before falling in lockstep with the media and slanderers....
Nothing that Cruz said was any different, than what Trump said of Pamela Gellar in the Muhammed events. In fact, Cruz has MORE justification in his assessment, since it is true Trump is in a higher position that sets a tone for how people respond, and there has been violence FROM his supporters and his security toward people.
Stating the obvious, is NOT limited for only Trump to do, FYI. And if others are going to get chastized for it, Trump should be held to those same standards!!!
