It’s an old country. Everywhere is somewhere people used to pee.
I’ve wondered how many closets, bathrooms, small dens/parlors, etc in all those castles still lived in are remodeled/re-purposed 500 to 1000 year old garderobes...
That reminds me of when I was there with friends. We were in a very old, rustic pub. One of the guys I was with asked the older woman who was tending bar (and owned the place) where the men's room was.
She said, "Are ya needin' ta pee? Well then...head straight in back to that door there, head outside and anywhere between there and Dublin is the men's room."
