Avoid Baltimore and DC,the traffic is crazy.Visit the Aberdeen Proving Ground,unbelievable collection of artillery and tanks.
Come on Washington DC has some of the most incredible monuments, buildings, museums, Cathedrals, historical sites in the world.
The Smithsonian, White House, Capitol, Library of Congress, Jefferson, Lincoln Memorials Washington Monument. Its endless.
The museum was moved to Ft. Lee, VA along with the US Army Ordnance School.
We visited Maryland last summer and went to Aberdeen. They moved all the tanks away :(
Tanks, artillery and small arms museum are all gone from APG. Most of the collection has been moved to Fort Lee near Petersburg VA. Nothing for non DOD folks to see at Aberdeen Proving Ground anymore and due to the nature of the work going on there, even getting on post is tough unless you have a specific reason to be there.
Cancel Aberdeen. I live there. The museum was shut down 3 years ago. All the stuff sadly was moved south.
