Excuse me. He laid claim to an affirmative fact that Cruz would somehow be "singular" when indeed nothing could be further from the truth. None of the Founders were born in the US nor in any US State.

I know "facts" are "meaningless" to Trumpanzees, but they matter in the world of reality.

Seems to me the constitution has an exception for those who were born before there was a USA. Otherwise we would have had babies or foreigners as POTUS.

Washington was born in Virginia
John Adams was born in Massachusetts,
Thomas Jefferson was born in Virginia,
James Madison was born in Virginia,
James Monroe was born in Virginia,
John Quincy Adams was born in Massachusetts,
Andrew Jackson was born in the North/South Carolina area William Henry Harrison was born in Virginia

Article 2 section 1 clause 5 -

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Note ‘....or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this Constitution...’!

The founders knew at that time they were not nbc but they were US citizens and they exempted themselves from the nbc requirement, until one generation later...

This is the FACT. Obviously you the non-Trumpanzee don’t know this fact and make a fool of yourself!

Well, actually, Cruz WOULD be singular in this case.

See, the Founders were indeed born when the United States did not exist, and were grandfathered in as NBCs on the basis of their prior jus soli residence in the colonies.

None of which has a single thing to do with Ted Cruz, who was born long after the Revolution, and who was not born on our soil at all, whether as a state or as a colony.
