The TV shows are doing a better job. Even “Smallville” did a better job; that show even included some of the Teen Titans.

DC needs to get through its thick collective skull that grim and gritty works for Batman, NOT Superman.

No Man’s Land is a great story. Problem they ran into with the movie is they only did one movie, it’s a HUGE story that ran across 14 different titles and took an entire year of comics. If it had been 2 movies (end the first one when Banes exiles Bat), it would have been much better.

And money. And remember, those are basically the same attributes as Lex Luthor, who manages to be Superman’s arch nemesis.

DC did a ‘retro’ on the ‘Golden Age’ Green Lantern (Alan Scott). I noted that DC didn’t make this change until after creator Mart Nodell passed away...Mr. Nodell was like a ‘grandpa’ to all the fans he met with at store signings and conventions, and to do this after he passed was a cowardly act on the part of the pro-sodomite sons of b*thces at DC.

There would be no contest. Superman is invincible; Batman is just a guy in a kevlar codpiece.

Critics HATE Zack Snyder. Box office will tell the tale...

This. They see him as an unwashed conservative/libertarian.

Plus, he wants to adapt Ayn Rand.

OMG...’Megaforce’...what a piece of crap! I worked with a guy who was a Barry Bostwick groupie (why? Got me.), and who couldn’t wait until ‘Megaforce’ hit the theaters. He was depressed for a loooooooong time after he saw that flick.

Marvel movies have always been better than DC

For your Consideration:

1986 Howard the Duck, 1989 The Punisher, 1990 Captain America, 1994 The Fantastic Four (unreleased), 1998 Blade, 2002 Blade II, 2003 Daredevil, 2003 Hulk, 2004 Punisher, 2005 Elektra, 2007 Ghost Rider, 2007 Spider-man 3, 2008 The Incredible Hulk, 2008 Punisher: War Zone, 2012 Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.

Marvel does have a better track record of late, but that is a healthy list of bad movies.

If you don’t mind a hard R rating go see Deadpool... it’s a blast.

“It merely weakens him until he gets away from it - which happens every single time it’s used.”

Ha, so basically you are reduced to saying “well, okay Batman COULD defeat Superman, but the writers wouldn’t let it happen”.

I’m actually pretty psyched to see the Captain America Civil War movie coming out soon. Considering that Chris Pine is at the end of his contract, and that Sebastian Stan has like, 5 more movies left on his, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bucky taking on the role of Captain America. However, one thing I heard that I really like is that Marvel has said they want to keep their universe as cohesive as possible and as such, they will not be doing any re-boots!!! Which has me thrilled, as really, how many times can you do Spider-man’s origin until you’re like “Really?”.
And on the subject of Marvel, I’m going to the St Louis comic-con in a couple weeks, the whole cast of Daredevil (Netflix) and Jessica Jones will there, in addition to Doctor 10, Doctor 11 and Rose from Dr Who.

I enjoyed a recent episode of “Big Bang Theory” where even the girls were rolling their eyes at the idea of Ben Affleck in the role of Batman.

YES YES YES!

Btw, there is a fan-written script for that movie, it’s pretty good, if you haven’t seen it:

I may check out Deadpool once it hits DVD. I’ve got a pretty decent home theater setup so I have not gone to an actual movie theater in a long time. What’s it cost these days for two to go to the theater and each have a coke and bag of popcorn - 50 bucks or so?

Ben Affleck as Batman is one of those ideas that everyone knows is bad, but it just won’t die.

He wanted to be Batman back before Christian Bale got the role, and I think he has been gunning to be the replacement ever since. I think he’s probably used all his influence to twist arms to make it happen.

WB, The animated batman vs Superman movie is better. Better story line ,better Lex luthor and Mark Hammil as the best joker.

Guess the same bunch that ruined the Warner Stores are now controlling their movies.
