“In the case of Ted Cruz, every damned one of these people knows full well that they’re not in his league in terms of IQ, in terms of intelligence, in terms of talent and ability.”

What I like about Cruz is that he is very intelligent and has taken several courageous and principled stands in the past.

The two candidates I liked were Cruz and Trump.

But Cruz’s recent actions have made it harder for me to like him.

The teaming with Glenn Beck, the defending the thugs who attacked Trump supporters in Chicago, the hiring of Neil Bush and other Bush people have made it harder to like him.

Cruz’s recent proposal to have police patrol Muslim neighborhoods was just stupid. Then Neil Bush saying that Cruz would have police patrol radical Christian neighborhoods.

I wish Cruz and Trump could team up together and work together. They are both intelligent. Maybe they are working together under the radar.

I would like best to see Trump president and Cruz a Supreme Court justice.

The establishment is deathly afraid of Ted Cruz? Then why are they endorsing him and funding his campaign? If they were afraid of Cruz, they would be endorsing Donald Trump, praising him to the skies, and getting down on their knees and thanking him.

Despite their temporary alliance, the Establishment has every reason to fear Cruz.

But Cruz IS a Republican. Trump is...a Republican, maybe.

Nobody's scared of him because he can't win and wouldn't be able to do much if he did.

While they may not be able to outsmart Ted, like a lot of smart people he's sometimes too clever (or too convinced of his own cleverness) for his own good.

They are more scared of Cruz than Trump.

Jeb!, Mitt, Lindsay Graham, Nikki Haley, Phil Gramm, Rick Perry, Club for Growth, Carly Fiorina---yeah, Cruz is really an outsider, anti-establishment. All these other anti-establishment candidates have endorsed him, real outsiders.

Do you realize that trumpsters don’t read anything except pro Trump articles? That koolaid is yummy.

..... I mean, you can watch the guy in a debate. I don’t care if it’s substantive, when he has an off night he’s in a different league than these guys. When Cruz has an off night, policy-wise he’s running rings around ‘em, knowledge-wise he’s running rings around ‘em, solutions-wise he’s running rings around ‘em. They can’t take him on on a level playing field that is his, because that disparity and their feebleness would be on display.

So rather than acknowledge any of that and go there, they ignore him, report on him from afar, characterize him as some really elite kook that has nothing in common with very many Americans. I made the point last Friday. Here’s a guy that, despite all of these obstacles, has nevertheless owned and occupied second place in the Republican primaries for quite a while now. A fundamental aspect of Cruz that causes all this is his conservatism. Do not doubt that for a minute, when it comes particularly to leftists and Democrats, and even some Republicans. It’s the conservatism that Cruz knows, the conservatism that he is, the conservatism that he can explain, not in a tangential way, but he can explain it by proposing solutions.

I mean, that’s the most threatening form of conservatism there is, a common sense solution. Whatever problem you have, whatever issue you’re discussing, he has the ability to articulate the conservative solution to it, thereby define conservatism. But he’s not defining conservatism. He’s just engaging in “here’s what we need to do to fix it, this is what would work.” And people’s reaction, “Yeah, yeah.” Except they’ve got horns coming out of his head. So when he says these brilliant things, people don’t pay as close attention because they’ve succeeded in characterizing Cruz as an oddball, freak, kook, whatever it is. Those are my words, whatever your impression of the way they’ve characterized him would work as well. And that’s what they do to every competent threatening conservatism. Never take ‘em on on substance, don’t ever, ‘cause they can’t.

Rush has lost it. Apparently he has not heard that Lyin Teddy is now totally encased in the mantra of the GOPe with Mitt and Jebbie backing him. But then Ted was always a career politician posing as an outsider. Now he has ripped off the mask.

Rush get is right again. However, like Cruz and Levin, having led the conservative movement for all these years he's persona non grata on FR. People would be wise to go back in the post histories and see what things looked like during the government shut down.

Now, if you pledge support to Donny Come Lately you're the enemy.

Strange times.

Bush said Cruz is not racially profiling and told CNN they should get the candidate on to clarify his remarks. However, Bush said he would “presume [Cruz] is also talking about extremists in the Christian faith.”
Really Neil Bush corrects Ted Cruz postion

I’m American first, not PARTY first like the Pro-establishment Cruzers.

Nobody fears cruise, they just hate him. He's power hungry and jumped the GOPe succession line for POTUS. Add his trying to use religion, questionable alliances and campaign tactics, globalist wife, plus he's just plain irritating.

Globalism is NOT a conservative trait.
