I carry a Sig P-229 with 13 rounds of .40.. and two extra mags. Hopefully, enough to fetch my rifle from the truck.

Wait, Derringer?

Looks a bit large for only two shots.

My Springfield XDS .45 only holds 5 in the mag. I carry two extra mags in leather case, other pocket. No printing or discomfort with bluejeans.
Check it out. I knew a guy who carried a North American .22. I suppose that might be better than a derringer but, geez.
I figure if I can’t stop a threat with 15 Hornady Critical Defense rounds, it’ll be ‘feets, don’t fail me now’ time. But it’s a BUG.
Of course there’s my Glock 19 too.

A .40,.357.,or 45 ACP would make it too wide or too heavy or too unsteady. A 9mm might work. At $395 they must not be using the highest and lightest quality of steel.

LOL! I remember those. Wow, memories. I had one of these belt buckles. When you pushed out with your stomach the gun swung out and fired a cap. They had the best toys back then, to politically incorrect nowadays.

Good carry choices.

Actually my first striker pistol was a S&W Sigma in .40, known to some as the Smegma Swock.
I hated it at first but it and its terrible trigger are now sitting within reach as I prepare to slumber.
With that thing I figure the chance of an accidental discharge are lower and with adrenaline the trigger will be as smooth as a Sigs. And it has never failed to fire.
But the 19 is my traveling buddy.

I fault no one for their choices. I love my Glock 30. It’s my IDPA baby.

However, comma, I carry a Sig :o)

Don’t ever take it on an airplane (your sword bearing cane). TSA would have a field day about it, over reacting, staring and pointing in shock. “You need to come with me to the Back Room, Sir!”

That’s the one with the narrow slide? I saw the Hickock youtube where he was hitting steel targets with one from way out.
I was looking at them but my wife is still sore over me getting a CZ 97 a while back.
Ya know, the ‘poor man’s Sig’.

That’s nice, but I’m going to need more than 2 bullets. Try standing closer.

The Ideal Conceal weapon is a .380-caliber derringer.

There has been a lot of progress in derringers over the last 151 years.

Ole Henry must be proud.

I sometimes wonder if that Mythbusters episode was more propaganda than explosives facts, that current explosives are not powerful enough to fit in a pen of that size.

Would be far better if it was say a 5.7x28 or two different calibers, like a .22 and a .410.

I haven’t seen many mythbusters but that would be an interesting one to watch.

Yep. Nowadays two magazines may not be enough.
