Jimmy Swaggart repented... genuinely a sex addict who knows it... and he is sick over his problem... and he pretty much stepped out of the limelight.
Ted will NEVER REPENT. He may delay, defer, deny... but his family will not be able to recover. He may leave the race, move to another country and live out his years in shame. He may lose his family.
In his defense, which I am loathe to do, he may have had a spouse who was less than stellar. Seems she might have some moral issues as well. Whatever it is, it will come out now. If he is a drunk skirt chaser in secret... or not... If she was a ‘runaround sue’ it will come forth... perhaps a history of moral issues in their family tree are what caused her alleged depressive episodes.
If this stuff is at all true, NOTHING Ted can do will stop it, the die was cast, long before he even announced his run.

And if he has this stuff in his closet... he was stupid to delay disavowing the attacks on the trump family. It’s not enough to deny. He had to DISAVOW the trash.
Saw the video tonight where one of Ted’s female support staff started this thing against Melania’s past, a couple of weeks ago, at the 4 minute marker on Cavuto’s show... national television. Cruz DID feed this demon... and now it is hungry again...

I find it hard to deal with Cruz’s smarmy persona. I tried to like him but he just didn’t add up. We’ll see if this story is true. Sometimes NE gets it right, sometimes wrong. But they blew a lot of credibility if they got it wrong.

Ted's crack team of psychologists who analyze data they glean from the Internet were busy checking how Ted pretending to have a pair was working and weren't prepared for this.
They should have been unless they thought Trump didn't kmow and were sure Hillary wasn't going to use it since Ted said Bill's crimes were off the table. Two things only an idiot would believe but that's another matter. A matter that gets into why so many people who are smart and claim to be even smarter than they are behave so much like an idiot.

This entire drama from start to finish (I mean the Cruz drama) and I do think it’s near the finish for him, has been incredible. Someone should write a book about it. And his supporters have been practically enthralled as with some kind of spell. Seriously. He does have two former CIA spook/media manipulator types working for him. Maybe some people are just more susceptible to those techniques...
I’m ashamed for Cruz, but I also think he’s been utterly dishonest in the extreme since the beginning. He knows he’s not even eligible to be president.

This man Trump is a multi-Billionaire in the toughest business area of NY real-estate for a very good reason. He has outsmarted far smarter people than Ted Cruz.
Don’t mind at all. And I don’t have the energy to argue with Cruz freepers so much until November. They aren’t the bad guys. GOPe is.

Yes, I know, sometimes he curses and swears, just too damned direct... just like Patton... where wysiwyg.
But it is clear to me that Trump genuinely loves this nation that made it possible for him to compete and win in business and he is determined to make sure that kind of america is still around for his children and grandchildren to enjoy.
Your speculation sounds very reasonable to me. By waiting till later in the campaign to let this info become public, it has put the GOPe, who have been rallying around Cruz the past two weeks, all the more off balance. Time is running out for them, and they are running out of ‘Stop Trump’ strategies.
