Responding to a National Enquirer story alleging he had multiple extramarital affairs, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on Friday blamed the report on Donald Trump and "his henchmen."
Cruz said the report was untrue.
He called Trump "a rat" and said there is no level to which he won't stoop.
"The question that people are asking is how low will Donald go," Cruz said.
Cruz accused Trump of being a coward who has problems with "strong women."
Cruz was in Oshkosh Friday morning at Lakeside Plastics for a campaign stop.
Later speaking to reporters, he went on the attack against Trump and his shoot-from-the-hip style.
"It will not be sufficient for a president. He will send tweets at Putin," Cruz said.

He also now has now left himself open for NE to up the stakes as no reporter breaking a big scoop wants the subject of it to dismiss their report. That’s a declaration of war on a guy with the pen.

He did not try to claim someone else registered from his office on Ashley Madison.
I am guessing that he will just try to pretend this isn’t happening since that worked before.
The Enquirer has endorsed Trump. Trump and the owner of the Enquirer, David Pecker, are good friends. This is an obvious attempt to take the focus off Trump’s smear of Heidi Cruz, which seems to be back firing.
A rat can't get as low as snake Trump; a snake sheds its skin regularly but is still the same cold-blooded snake on the inside!

It was the Enquirer that broke with the 1990s details of the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky affair, they were first made public by the Enquirer.
Thanks to the National Enquirer the entire Bill Clinton abuse of women under the mantel of authority came to light, and then more women who were assaulted or taken advantage of by Bill Clinton who had issues with his own power hungry wife came forward.
And Hillary so obsessed with her own need to be a card carrying member of the establishment elite then covered for Bill and she was the one who led the campaign attacking the women abused and used and sexually assaulted by Bill Clinton, she was Bill’s enabler by doing so simply in her lust for power.
This story now in the Enquirer has nothing to do with Trump running the story, this sleeze Cruz then says Trump planted it and is so pathetic but so expected from this slimy politician, and he even used Hillary’s talking points about “strong women”, clearly Hillary and Heidi are the same type of personality that demands a seat of power in the globalist elite that has betrayed the American worker and threatens American sovereignty.
The common parallels between Bill-Hillary and Ted-Heidi is obvious. And likely just as true.

Hopefully, he had no affairs, and his family remains intact. I think his wife would be very vulnerable to a story like this being confirmed. I’m for Trump, and don’t like much of anything Cruz has done since shortly before IA, but I hope for the sake of his family, this story is not true.
On the other and, I’ve lived in and around Washington DC long enough to know the reality of ‘power attracts.’ It doesn’t matter if a title holder is not good looking, intelligent, sexy, wealthy ... so long as he has power. THAT is the magnetic attraction.
I’m not sure how Cruz came to the belief, in case he actually believes it, that Trump could be responsible for this story. That’s totally asinine, and yet another way in which Cruz has shown himself to be more ambitious than intelligent, much less savvy.
Rubio operatives were feeding information to Breitbart though.
National Enquiror could just as easily began sniffing around Houston (where Ted has enemies) in the wake of the Ashley Madison scandal.

I want to be crystal clear: these attacks are garbage. For Donald J. Trump to enlist his friends at the National Enquirer and his political henchmen to do his bidding shows you that there is no low Donald won’t go.
These smears are completely false, they’re offensive to Heidi and me, they’re offensive to our daughters, and they’re offensive to everyone Donald continues to personally attack.
Donald Trump’s consistently disgraceful behavior is beneath the office we are seeking and we are not going to follow.
Just saw a bit of Cruz on CNN blaming it on Trump and I thought he said Roger Stone as well.
