I see the footnotes but not the link. I’d love to share that knowledge so if you have a link, that would be great
Congrats! Very nice looking machine.
I was checking out the BMW S1000RR with 199hp at $17k. I am amazed such race performance in a street machine can be had for so little.
I hear you can flash the computer for 243hp. That’s wicked fast power right there. Heck, 199 and 210 are wicked!
“Its really too bad that chopper fans and crotch rocket fans dont get along”
I don’t know about that. I think they do. They don’t tend to ride together as the speeds and aggressiveness are radically different, but I’ve ridden with all kinds of people with all kinds of bikes, and if it has two wheels and a motor yer welcome to join in.
Reagan looked out for American workers, pinko commie that he was.
We’ve never had “Free Trade”, a Free Trade agreement should not be 20,000 pages.
Yes, a minor exhaust refit and a flash can result in 275+ HP.
I see no need for it at my age. The front wheel comes up on traction control 1 for gears 1-4. By the time you hit 5th at 12k, it’s going 175 mph. It all happens in about 7 seconds.
It makes me sleep well at night.
By today's standards Reagan would be a liberal protectionist sellout. Cavuto would rail on him every day.
Nice! I use my KLR 650 to hit the real gravel back roads of WV.
Hope you win the lotto.
I used to ride a Triumph Trident with all the badging stripped off. Once in a while I'd go to some party or event where there'd be a bunch of Harley's all parked together and some of the riders hanging around the bikes.
If I parked next to them there was usually a younger guy that would start running over saying "Hey, you can't park the rice-burner here!". One of the older guys would usually stop him before he got there.
We call the KLR650 a “tractor”. They just don’t stop. Excellent backwoods bike. We used to race enduro here and raced CR-250s for the most part, but both of us have had various 4-strokes like XR-600 and DR-350, but the KLR makes an excellent all around bike, highway too.
lol, thanks for the laugh, much needed in this very unsilly season.
Still feel the same?
Don’t remind Levin...he may have a heart attack at this point.
Reagan would have called Free Trade a disaster years ago. But pinheads with 30 years of experience and data showing it’s disastrous effects still support it. How dumb are you?
JFK gets good marks on nostalgia and his tragic assassination. Tokyo was working on the 1964 Olympics when JFK died in Dallas. It was a watershed moment for the country because it meant not only a way to mark postwar recovery in a big way, including the world's first bullet train and monorail from the airport to downtown Toyko, but because it also welcomed them back into the community of civilized nations.
Reagan, on the other hand, gets good marks because his policies made America prosper and, as Japan's best customer, that also made Japan prosper. They actually understood why we had to rescue Harley-Davidson and the company made the most of the opportunity.
While fewer in number, there are Hog Cycle Clubs in Japan even today.
I like Harley, the sound and the history...
Sad thing is, those jap bikes are nearly bulletproof. My old Kawi 900 is at 70k miles now and has very minor maintenance.
My big 1600 rolls strong with 50k and other than oil, tires and plugs its needed nothing.
