It is crazy isn't it? It seems so many are stuck on identity politics. Since Cruz declares himself a principled conservative, that is all they hear and tune everything else out.
But we know from the vetting process, if, and that's a big IF, he was a principled conservative, he easily sold out to the corrupt GOP establishment.
Right now it's all about disrupting the primaries so Trump doesn't get the magic number of delegates so there can be a brokered convention and the establishment can still get the candidate they want. Cruz and his supporters are helping the corrupt GOPe, get what they want (they are dreaming if they are going to let Cruz be the nominee) and THAT is what is so sad about this situation.

— Trump is the candidate who was fined $1 million by the federal government for hiring illegal Polish workers. In a debate he denied that fact — but Rubio and Cruz both said it was true — and Trump was exposed as a liar.
—Trump is the candidate who has dumped two wives for mistresses;
—Trump is the candidate who has celebrated — in two of his books — that he is a serial adulterer and that he has bedded some really important women who seemingly had good marriages.
—Trump is the candidate who has said that if he is denied the nomination there will be riots. The last contested GOP convention that I recall as a young supporter of Ronald Reagan was in 1976. I don’t recall Reagan saying that if he lost there would be riots. Reagan understood that as a presidential candidate he was to remain classy and calm and not incite trouble. But then Reagan was a great man, one of America’s greatest presidents, and Donald Trump is a thug.
