No, there is no primary. They will pick their 37 delegates over the next week. The delegates they pick can choose to be bound or unbound. The 6 picked tonight chose to be bound to Cruz.

There are multiple ‘conventions’ with in Colorado thought April 9th http://kdvr.com/2016/04/02/cruz-wins-all-of-colorado-delegates-from-saturdays-two-congressional-conventions/

There were assemblies where the delegates at the assemblies selected six of colorado’s national delegates.

There was a strong effort by the moderates to elect moderates by labeling them Cruz delegates. Quite a bit of money went into that effort.

For the most part, we beat that effort back. The Cruz delegates selected were folks I know who are hard-core conservatives.

“I’m lost. Is there a primary tonight in CO?”

My question as well. What is the popular vote in those districts? Or are these party insiders deciding who gets the delegates?

No, they cancelled their primary. No voting in Colorado.

Silly, these elections aren’t about votes. It’s more backroom deals that only the professional politicians know about. That’s why Cruz is doing so well.

The RNC says it’s ok to steal votes from the people, votes the people thought mattered, so with Cruz, it’s ok.
