Woman 'Distraught' Over Hospital Staff's Recorded Remarks During Her Surgery

I’ve had quite a few surgeries by quite a few different doctors. Just had a foot surgery Friday. I treat them well and they treat me well. Saw the doc today for post op from the surgery Friday. We laughed about the shoe he was making me wear.
I haven’t been rude to him or the girls in his office. I haven’t screamed at anyone. Maybe that’s why when I was out for 2 hours for the surgery Friday I’m pretty sure they weren’t talking bad about me.
You get what you give in most instances.

I'm trying to figure out how being Black and raped by her father had anything to do with the article other than to try and make her seem more of a victim. I had major surgery where the OR staff had to turn me over, I was not the lightest I've ever been(that is what's known as an understatement) and had I known if the staff called me a lard ass, I wouldn't have been upset, if you can't handle the truth about yourself you should learn. What does she think when she looks in the mirror, that she is built like Barbie? And conveniently for her, we have no idea how she behaved or what she said prior to the surgery.

Well, yes they did go after her physical makeup, but no doubt these medical workers had dealt with far more bizarre body specimens than her over the years probably without much comment - my guess is that she was already marked as a problem before she ever went into the operating room - the story says she had a run-in with the surgeon about scheduling the operation months before, was labeled as a “handful” by someone during the procedure, and was also described as someone who was likely to file a suit by another team member. I think she just set herself up as being disagreeable and hostile (a matter of interpretation but I think she was) before the operation and staff was reacting to that in their mocking of her physical characteristics during the procedure - again not purposely to offend or belittle her since they thought she was unaware of what they were saying at the time.....

You need to listen to Tommy Sotomayor more often. She had weave on her head, you could hide an arsenal in there.

Lots of people do that. Almost everybody in the service industry does that at some point. Everybody is a bad person sometimes.

The Trump/Cruz threads bring that out in spades. lol

My experience in working with self-absorbed overweight women leaves me not at all surprised by this woman's reaction. How do we know she displayed respect toward the medical staff? I'm not excusing the medical staff, as I can only imagine the remarks that may have been flying during my colonoscopy two years ago.
