Years ago I’m at a Gas Station.
The car in front of me has a “War is not the answer” Bumper Sticker. Usual 40ish Liberal Woman of course. You can tell.
When she is done gassing up, she sees me chuckling to myself shaking my head. She glares at me and I say, well what is the answer? Dirty look, hops on her car and speeds off.
That is the difference between US and THEM. If I have a sticker on my Car and someone questions it, I will engage that person in dialogue and inform them of reality.
They on the other hand would Key my Car if I wasn’t there.
First off, the answer is Yes to both questions.
Is it worth confronting the fools and has socialism become “respectable”.
Just recently I rode an elevator with an extremely passionate young man that couldn’t contain his excitement for Sanders. All I asked was why? He spewed out the standard talking points with glee and when we reached our floor, I looked him straight in the eyes and with a dead calm seriousness and said “You’re an Idiot”.

I was talking to a lib the other day about Zero and she told me that she really liked what he had done for her healthcare, it now costs her family of 4 nothing. I explained to her that only meant other people were now paying her bill. Needless to say I did manage to piss her off. I figure it was a day well spent.
Real life Socialism’s a thousand miles of bad road. Sanders was a member of a Trotskyite group in Chicago that believed Communism and Socialism were the same thing.
I know you are friendly and wouldn’t be threatening....unfortunately anyone who is so stupid about socialism won’t recognize that. Folks like that tend to scream loudest when approached by us friendly thoughtful types
